Tube deformation testing

Taking a seatpost, from the testing machine clamp to the saddle rail, the exposed length will be 250mm
The machine applies force at a point 60mm behind the center of the seat clamp.
A downward force of 75kg is applied.
The test is designed to simulate the real-world deflection of the seatpost under actual riding conditions.
 

The testing results show that the offset design does affect the comfort.
A bigger offset design offers better comfort in the seatpost.
In most daily riding conditions, the actual tube deformation is less than the testing data.

Reducing the thickness of saddle and length of seat tube, you will get a suitable length choice. The min/max insert length is 80/200mm.
